Source This WatchAn Integrated Titanium Sports Watch With the Mechanics on Display
The Zenith Defy Classic Skeleton takes a different approach to the integrated sports watch. Instead of relying on a conventional dial, Zenith opens up the entire display and makes the movement architecture part of the design, all inside a lightweight 41 millimeter titanium case.
That combination is what makes this reference particularly interesting. It has the angular case and integrated bracelet architecture that define the modern Defy family, but the skeletonized display gives it a distinctly technical personality without pushing the watch into oversized proportions.
This 2022 example comes on its titanium bracelet and accommodates wrists up to about 7.5 inches at maximum sizing. It is accompanied by its inner and outer boxes, travel box, warranty card, card holder, quick step guide, and hangtag.

Condition
The watch is running well and presents in good overall condition. There are faint hairlines along some of the polished areas of the case, along with a few small marks on the polished bezel near 12 o'clock. The crystal presents well, while the bracelet and clasp show minimal wear.
As can occur with these presentation sets over time, the leather covering on the inner boxes and travel box has begun to flake.
Please review the photos carefully, as they form part of the description and accurately represent the condition of the watch and accompanying accessories.

Why We Like It
The Defy Classic came from an interesting period for Zenith. Rather than leaning entirely on the vintage-inspired chronographs for which the manufacture was already well known, Zenith used the Defy family to explore lightweight materials, integrated-bracelet architecture, and a much more contemporary design language. The Skeleton is arguably where that idea comes together best.
Instead of placing a conventional dial over the movement, Zenith builds the openworked display around its star motif. The mechanics become part of what you see every time you check the time, with additional depth revealed through the exhibition caseback. There is plenty happening visually, but the prominent hands and hour markers keep the watch surprisingly usable.
The titanium construction is equally important to the experience. A 41 millimeter integrated sports watch has substantial wrist presence, but titanium keeps the Defy noticeably lighter than its dimensions suggest. The combination of brushed and polished surfaces then gives the angular case and bracelet definition without relying on precious metal or a highly decorative conventional dial.
Inside is Zenith's Elite 670 SK, the openworked adaptation of the manufacture's longstanding Elite automatic movement. That's an important distinction: this isn't an El Primero chronograph repurposed as a three-hander. The Elite is a separate movement family, adapted here specifically to complement the skeleton architecture of the Defy Classic.
That leaves the watch occupying an interesting position on the secondary market. It's an integrated-bracelet sports watch from a genuine Swiss manufacture, constructed predominantly from titanium, with a purpose-designed openworked presentation and a movement that becomes part of the visual experience.
For the collector who likes modern engineering and wants something more interesting than another conventional dial on a steel bracelet, the Defy Classic Skeleton offers a lot to explore without becoming difficult to wear.
